Brief Profile Dr. Ramanand N. Shukla CEO, NABL- QCI Dr. Ramanand N. Shukla brings over 25 years of leadership experience in shaping quality and conformity assessment systems, spanning accreditation, quality assurance, certification, organisational excellence and national quality programmes. As Chief Executive Officer of NABL, he leads India’s national accreditation body for testing, calibration and medical laboratories, with a focus on strengthening trust, competence and global acceptance of conformity assessment services, while advancing India’s quality infrastructure. Prior to NABL, Dr. Shukla served as Senior Director & Head, National Division for Industry Excellence (NDIE), QCI, where he designed and drove flagship national frameworks, notably the Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) Certification Programme of the Ministry of MSME and the SAMAR programme for defence manufacturers in collaboration with DRDO, Ministry of Defence. These initiatives have contributed to strengthening industrial excellence, supply-chain reliability and organisational competitiveness. With extensive experience as a quality professional, speaker and trainer, he has trained over 5,000 professionals and contributed to quality governance, food safety, sustainability and organisational excellence. He has served as a Master Trainer for FSSAI and a Certified Examiner for National Quality Awards. Dr. Shukla holds a Ph.D. in Science and a postgraduate qualification in Marketing Management, with professional qualifications as a Lead Auditor and Assessor across key ISO standards. His leadership vision is centred on making accreditation a catalyst for trust, competitiveness and Ease of Doing Business, while positioning India’s quality infrastructure to meet and shape global benchmarks.

James J. NEDUMPARA, is Professor and Head of the Centre for International Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), as well as the WTO India Chairholder at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. James received his Ph.D. from National Law School of India University, Bengaluru and holds master’s degrees in Law from the University of Cambridge, the New York University School of Law as well as the National University Singapore. James has significant experience in trade and investment treaty negotiations and has played a key role in negotiating India’s recent FTAs. Among various publications, James is the co-author of the comprehensive treatise, International Economic Law: Text, Cases and Materials (2021), published by Cambridge University Press.

Aarti Pandey Deputy General Manager and Branch Manager New Delhi Branch, ECGC Ltd.  Been with ECGC, the premier export credit agency of India, for the last 21 years.  Career at ECGC spans broad range of areas in both the short-term and medium- and long-term lines of businesses, ranging from country risk analysis, financial risk assessment, underwriting methods, product and policy development, marketing, audit and compliance, and international relations.  As the Head of Country Underwriting Department, was responsible for developing statistical models for profiling the country risks, determining exposure norms and establishing and implementing enterprise-wide policy and process for managing country risks.  As the Head of Project Exports Department, was in-charge of transactional underwriting of projects, including sovereign, sub-sovereign, and other non-payment risks; and responsible for project evaluation and support through ECGC covers and the National Export Insurance Account Trust of the Government of India.  Presently, heading the New Delhi Branch of ECGC, overseeing the short-term export credit insurance services to MSME exporters alongside large corporate houses and commercial banks. The branch actively coordinates with specialized Industrial/Overseas Branches and Trade Finance Hubs of major public and private sector banks to unlock pre-and-post-shipment working capital for exporters in the capital region.  Hold a Master’s Degree in Economics from University of Mumbai and was a lecturer in economics, prior to joining ECGC.

Brief Bio of Prof. Tarun Kumar Sharma Dr. Tarun Kumar Sharma, Ph.D., is Professor and Head of the Department of Medical Devices at the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali. He earned his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. Prof. Sharma began his scientific career as an Innovation Awardee at the Centre for Bio-design & Diagnostics, THSTI, followed by research fellowships at RMIT University, Australia. He subsequently served as Senior Research Scientist at THSTI and as Associate Professor and Head of Medical Biotechnology at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU) before joining NIPER Mohali. Prof. Sharma’s research focuses on aptamer technology, biomedical diagnostic devices, and biosensing. With over 17 years of experience, he has authored more than 70 publications, filed 12 patents, and achieved three technology transfers. His research has been supported by premier national and international agencies, including DBT, BIRAC, ICMR, Open Philanthropy, Novo Nordisk Foundation, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. His scientific contributions have earned 4750+ citations, an h-index of 34, and an i10-index of 65. Prof. Sharma’s excellence has been recognized through numerous awards, including the INSA Distinguished Lecture Fellowship, INSA Associate Fellowship, INSA Young Scientist Medal, DBT-Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award, Future Science Leader Award (STS-Japan), Australian Endeavour Research Fellowship, and election as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology (FRSB), UK.

Her extensive career highlights a powerful combination of digital transformation, technological innovation, and the strategic execution of Project Management Agency (PMA) frameworks for Government advisory schemes. She holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Pune, complemented by a robust suite of globally recognized professional credentials. She possesses a strong PMP baseline (PMI USA), and is a Certified Cyber Security Specialist, a JAIIB professional from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, and a Certified Independent Director (IICA). Over nearly three decades, she has held various leadership and technological roles at top-tier multinational corporations, including IBM, American Express, and NIIT Technologies. At IFCI Limited, Ms. Jan previously served as the IT Head and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). She also served as a Board Member for Stockholding Document Management Services Limited. In her current role as General Manager of Government Advisory Services at IFCI, Ms. Jan leads the Project Management Agency (PMA) team dedicated to executing various Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Schemes.
